Hi, I'm Silviu 👋
I make videos about tech, with a soft spot for consoles and especially handhelds. This blog is where those videos become articles you can read at your own pace.
The channel
The Tech Unravel started in 2021 as a place to talk about tech in general. Over time it found its focus: consoles, and especially handheld consoles. You'll find videos about the ROG Ally, Steam Deck, Nintendo Switch, PS Vita and plenty of other retro and current-generation consoles: reviews, accessories, first impressions, tutorials and a lot more.
Why a blog?
Not everyone wants to watch a 10-minute video to find one answer. Some people prefer reading, skimming, or coming back to a setup guide while they follow along. So every week, one of my videos gets a written version here, edited for reading, with the video embedded if you'd rather watch.
How I review things
I talk about the gear I actually use day to day. I care more about the experience than the spec sheet: how something feels to use, whether it fits into a busy life, and whether I'd keep reaching for it. When a brand sends me something, or a link is an affiliate link, I'll say so.
"I just want to sit down and play a game in the small amount of time that I have." That sums up how I look at most of the tech I review.
